What inspired you to start practicing yoga?

Back in my 20s, I got injured while training for a half marathon, which led me (very reluctantly) to try my first hot yoga class. To my surprise, I fell in love with it right away. At first, I was drawn to the physical challenge—I loved trying to "master" different poses. But over time, I found myself craving the breathwork and the moments of stillness, how they encouraged me to really turn inward. Yoga became less about the workout and more about self-reflection and connection - both to myself and something deeper - which is what continues to bring me back to my mat today.

More about me...

What can students expect from your classes?

Students can expect fast-paced, high-energy classes that are both fun and dynamic, with creative transitions to keep them on their toes. And always core work! I love weaving in intentional, core-focused movements.

What’s your favorite (or least favorite) yoga pose and why?

My favorite yoga pose is Triangle. I love how it creates a sense of spaciousness throughout the body while also calling on deep core and oblique engagement. It’s that perfect blend of strength and openness—and I always come out of it feeling grounded, strong, and expansive.

What’s your yoga teaching superpower?

My goal as a teacher is to help students tap into their inner strength through powerful movement, while guiding them towards developing deeper personal awareness through breath connection and encouraging presence in their bodies. I aim to have students leave the room feeling strong, grounded and connected.

What’s one fun or quirky fact about you that most people don’t know?

Oh man, I feel like I've lived 9 lives. But, in my early 20s, I spent 2 crazy, unforgettable years on a reality show. It launched me into a career that changed my life in many ways.. But I won't tell you any more than that!

What lights you up outside the studio?

My kids light me up the most! I have a 4-year-old and an almost 2-year-old, and adventuring around Los Osos with them and my husband is one of my greatest joys. Whether we’re exploring MDO, hanging the beach, or just running around outside, I’m happiest when I’m active and outdoors with my crew. I also love trail running, hiking, white-water surfing :) anything that gets me moving and connected to nature.
