What inspired you to start teaching?

I discovered yoga as a teenager when I started practicing with my mom. Coming from a ballet background, I quickly found yoga to be incredibly beneficial both physically and mentally. I loved how you can have a yoga practice no matter what age, body, or ability you have. After experiencing how much a consistent practice impacted my own life, I wanted to share yoga with others through the lens of my own experience and background.

More about me...

What can students expect from your classes?

A welcoming environment, whether it’s your first or thousandth time on a mat. My classes focus on accessible movement and creating a stronger connection between mind and body. I offer lots of options and support, with the reminder that you always have permission to do what feels best for your body and your practice.

What’s your favorite part of class?

The very beginning, when we first arrive on our mats and have a chance to turn our attention inward. I love connecting with the breath, sometimes for the first time that day, and simply noticing what’s happening in our minds and bodies. It’s a chance to let the outside world fall away and be fully present with yourself.

What’s your teaching superpower?

My background in health science, anatomy, and physiology gives me a deep curiosity about how the body works and how everything is connected. I love helping students better understand and support their bodies, while giving them tools they can take beyond the mat. My favorite feedback is hearing that something we practiced in class has helped someone feel more confident in their own practice or helped them find a little more calm in their everyday life.

What’s one fun or quirky fact about you that most people don’t know?

I have a background in ballet, which is actually what first led me to yoga! I still love seeing the ways my dance background influences how I move and teach.

What lights you up outside the studio?

Quiet time in nature, whether I’m on my own or with people I love. I almost always have my head in a book, and I love listening to music, going for hikes or long walks, cooking, and enjoying a really good meal.
