What inspired you to start practicing yoga?

I started practicing yoga in my early twenties, initially to stretch and recover after hard runs and weight training. But I quickly realized there was so much more to yoga than physical practice. That curiosity led me to explore yoga more deeply through trainings, books, and different styles of practice. Over time, yoga became less about what my body could do and more about how I could connect with myself.

More about me...

What can students expect from your classes?

You can expect a strong appreciation for alignment and anatomy, thoughtful cues, and individual attention. I want students to have the space to explore, grow, and meet their bodies exactly where they are. My classes aren’t about perfection; they’re about progress, curiosity, and feeling good in your own body. To me, yoga is a practice of returning again and again to your breath, your body, and the present moment.

What’s your favorite (or least favorite) yoga pose and why?

Downward-Facing Dog! I love the combination of strength and that really satisfying full-body stretch. It’s also a pose where I naturally connect back to my breath, close my eyes, add a few subtle movements, and eventually find a little stillness. It just feels good.

What’s your yoga teaching superpower?

Creating space for people to challenge themselves without taking their asana practice too seriously. I want students to feel supported enough to explore, try something new, wobble a little, and enjoy the process.

What’s one fun or quirky fact about you that most people don’t know?

I love scuba diving and will plan an entire vacation around getting underwater.

What lights you up outside the studio?

I love experiences that make me feel curious and connected whether that’s exploring somewhere new, scuba diving, sharing a meal with people I love, or simply getting outside for a beautiful hike.
