What inspired you to start practicing yoga?
Twenty-five years ago my back would seize up and I would be laid out on the floor. My girlfriend at the time (now my wife) convinced me to go to a Hot 26 class. Learning and practicing the series of postures truly changed my life. It empowered me to take control of my situation and avoid surgery. This series keeps my body in alignment and tuned up, allowing me to continue an active lifestyle. Thanks for getting me into that first class Babe!!
More about me...
What can students expect from your classes?
My goal is to be a consistent and straightforward guide through the postures. You will build strength, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of each pose to help benefit your body and mind.

What’s your favorite (or least favorite) yoga pose and why?
My favorite pose is whichever one I’m in at that moment! Eagle and Standing Bow probably benefit me the most. They are both still challenging every time!
What’s your yoga teaching superpower?
As a new teacher, I’m learning my superpower is a fresh perspective and empathy. I understand how hard it is to learn something new and start a practice from the ground up. I hope I have the power to help students find their own strength and superpowers.
What’s one fun or quirky fact about you that most people don’t know?
As a kid I always loved the show Gilligan’s Island and any wild adventure I could find. When I was in 5th grade I got a paper route to save money to visit a friend who moved to a remote South Pacific Island. The summer before 7th grade I went by myself on that trip complete with a night alone in a Waikiki hotel. I have loved working and traveling ever since. The simple Island life still really calls to me.
What lights you up outside the studio?
It doesn't get much better than time with my family in, on or near the ocean or any pristine body of water!
