The Recovery Lab

The Recovery Lab is a dedicated recovery space inside The Yoga Lab, offering two of the most effective restorative therapies available: a 4-person infrared sauna and the Nuvio Red Light Therapy Mat.

 

Enjoy 45 minutes in the infrared sauna for a deep sweat and full-body release, spend your time on the red light mat for cellular-level recovery, or do both (30 minutes in the sauna followed by 15 minutes on the mat). 

 

Both therapies live in the same room, and each one works on your body in a fundamentally different way. Whether you're recovering from a hard practice, managing chronic tension, or simply carving out time to reset, the Recovery Lab gives your body the space it needs to do what it does best: heal.

Infrared Sauna Benefits

Unlike a traditional steam sauna, infrared heat penetrates 1.5–2 inches into muscle and connective tissue — meaning the benefits go well beyond the surface. Your body responds as though it's exercising, triggering a cascade of effects that support recovery, circulation, and overall wellbeing.

Red Light Therapy Benefits

Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) works at a cellular level — wavelengths of light are absorbed by mitochondria, stimulating energy production and triggering healing responses throughout the body. The Nuvio mat uses the two most clinically studied wavelengths: 660nm and 850nm.
