Roxy Borger

What inspired you to start teaching?

I've been inspired by great teachers my entire life—from traditional classrooms to yoga studios, business conferences, and barre classes. I love the ongoing dance between learning, sharing, and connecting with others in an effort to continually grow and play together.

More about me...

What can students expect from your classes?

Students can expect thoughtful, down-to-earth, and playful classes with equal parts deep breathing, strength work, nervous system support, and the occasional spontaneous karaoke moment. My goal is to help people feel stronger, more connected, and a little more at home in their bodies when they leave than when they arrived.

What’s your favorite part of class and why?

My favorite part of class is that moment when everyone settles in and starts moving together. There's something special about a room full of people breathing, working hard, laughing, and supporting one another. It's a reminder that movement is about more than exercise—it's also about connection.

What’s your teaching superpower?

My teaching superpower is helping people feel comfortable exactly where they are while still encouraging them to grow. I love creating classes that are welcoming to beginners but engaging for experienced students, with plenty of options along the way.

What’s one fun or quirky fact about you that most people don’t know?

I love creating rock art to commemorate special moments in my life and putting them around my garden as visual reminders of a life well lived.

What lights you up outside the studio?

Outside the studio, you'll usually find me hiking the Central Coast, writing for Slow Moves Rox, spending time with my husband and two kids, or exploring simple ways to support health, strength, and well-being through everyday life. I love helping people discover that small, consistent practices can create meaningful change.
